Raising awareness about drug addiction and smoking has been one of the missions led by the World Health Organization ever since its foundation. The Czechoslovakian post office wasn’t excluded with this unique stamp released in 1976.

25th Anniversary of the National Art Gallery (1973) – Bulgaria

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the National Art Gallery (Sofia, Bulgaria), a set of stamps were released with featuring artworks of the Bulgarian Revival Art movement and their artists, with this set presenting Stanislav Dospevski.

New Headquarters World Health Organization (1966)

This is one of those stamps that celebrates something happening elsewhere on the planet, without giving us the full context. One would assume that the WHO opened a new headquarters in Sri Lanka back in 1966. What’s not mentioned on the stamp is the real location of this new facility…

The Oath of Pontida by Adolfo Cao, 1967

This stamp celebrates the 800th anniversary of the Oath of Pontida, a would-have-been ceremony which would have been celebrated on April 7 since 1167. Its documentation is quite puzzling, as official documents barely talk about this Oath with the closest mention of it only 350 years after its happening.
